Ballistic Specifications:
SchutzCarr Vehicles in B6 level are armoured using materials, both opaque and
transparent, that meet or exceed the requirements of the European CEN 1522/23 and CEN 1063 standards to the level FB6 for opaque areas and BR6 for transparent areas.

All four sides of the passenger compartment and the roof of the vehicle are protected using high-quality armour steel and glass defeating 7.62x51mm M80 Nato Ball ammunition (U.S. NIJ level III, CEN level FB6/BR6) and 5.56x45 SS109 ammunition (CEN level FB5/BR5 and FB6/BR6) at 0° incidence (90° to the surface) and 10m range according to CEN1063 and CEN1522.

Opaque Areas:

All opaque areas including the roof are protected against the following:

  • Calibre 7.62 x 39 mm, FJ/PB/FeC, AK 47 Kalashnikov
  • Calibre 5.56 x 45 mm, FJ/PB/SCP, M16 Colt
  • Calibre 7.62 x 51 mm, FJ/PB/SC, (FN) “FAL” / “LAR” NATO rifle

And all lesser weapons/ammunitions at 90° impact angle in accordance with the above specifications.


Transparent Areas:

All transparent areas are multi-layer and polycarbonate coated to protect against the following:

  • Calibre 7.62 x 39 mm, FJ/PB/FeC, AK 47 Kalashnikov
  • Calibre 5.56 x 45 mm, FJ/PB/SCP, M16 Colt
  • Calibre 7.62 x 51 mm, FJ/PB/SC, (FN) “FAL” / “LAR” NATO rifle

And all lesser weapons/ammunitions at 90° impact angle in accordance with the above specifications


The Floor

The floor of the vehicle is designed to defeat the following threat:

  • Two DM 51 (German Norm) detonated simultaneously


Armouring design:

  • The armouring is a complete self-supporting structure grafted onto the base vehicle chassis in place of the original bodywork creating a unitary protection cell for the passengers.
  • The main armour shell provides overlap for all the secondary armour components such as the doors and the windows, roof hatches, gun-ports etc.
  • Double floor protection for improved blast resistance
  • Heavy-duty hinges for all the opening elements (doors, hatches).
  • Hinges with in-built door-stop.
  • Fuel-tank(s) protected with steel armour-plates.
  • Full engine compartment protection, including bonnet.
  • All welded joints produced using a special welding technique limiting the heat transfer to the armour steel around the weld, and covered with non-heat-affected overlaps.


Test Reports/ Product Liability

All materials used in the production of the cabin were successfully tested against projectiles and explosives by independent laboratories. Test reports can be presented upon request or during a factory visit. The armoring of the vehicle provides protection against a wide range of projectiles and explosives. However, complete protection is not possible for reasons of design and modern military weapon technology.

  • Hood Cover will be secured with heavy duty clips
  • Fuel Tank cover will be secured with heavy duty clips.

  • All doors won’t have external locks.
  • 2 Jerricans for water (20L each) will be installed on the side of the vehicle.
  • Rear and front bumper will be reinforced (with hard rubber).
  • The front and rear lights will have mesh cover.
  • Small and foldable side mirrors.
  • The driver and the front passenger will have a side pocket for the handgun.
  • Emergency alarm button will be installed next to the driver to allow to indicate danger.
  • Alarm Button / Indicator to indicate that the vehicle is still in 4x4 mode
  • The spare wheel will be installed in the middle of the back compartment
  • 2 projectors will be manual and with Mesh Protector.
  • Hooks on the roof for Vehicle lift on emergency / transportation.
  • Hooks at the bottom of the car to secure the vehicle when transporting.


Optional conversions at extra cost:

  • Optional SG4 at extra – Skid plate: Provides extra protection to the underside of the front of the vehicle. Manufactured from 3mm steel, the skid plate is first primed in red oxide paint and then coated with a black paint finish.


  • Optional TIRFOR at extra - Tirfor T516 hand winch (1600kg) including 20 meter wire rope: The general operating principle can be described as a "hand-over-hand" principle like a sailor pulling on a rope: while one hand pulls, the other one changes position in order to pull in turn. The 2 jaw grips represent the 2 hands of the TIRFOR: they grip the wire rope without damaging it and alternately haul it during forward motion and clamp it during reverse motion. This operating principle makes TIRFORS easy to handle, precise and safe to operate.


  • Optional at extra - Workshop Team Enhance Personnel Carrier Conversion with outward / inward facing benches to accommodate 4+4 Rear Crew, excluding Driver and Co passenger front seats. Total Seating Capacity 10 (2+8)
